Activity-based lesson adjusted to Common Core.

Hi my name is Sasa Kohen. I am beginning this semester as the beginning of my journey, perusing my degree in early childhood education with much anticipation. The reason why I decided to earn my degree in education is for a few reasons, firstly I have experience in education I worked for the past few years. I worked in a school that had kids with special needs that I enjoyed working and trying to help them. I am currently employed at Shira Headstart. Its a government funded program that provides school for children from low income families. The goal is to help them have an easy transition into elementary school. Therefor what my job as a teacher is to get the kids familiar in basic studies, to know basic math literacy and social skills. I enjoy giving myself over to the children  helping them learn and achieve. I make sure that each child reaches his potential and develops his skills that he has. In addition I am multilingual  i am fluent in three languages-written and spoken therefor since I live in a community that has people who speak many different languages I feel like I can help these children. 

All in all, I strongly believe that the early childhood education is a great opportunity to give of myself to other. I hope that by learning new skills in literacy and many other areas that will help me become the best teacher i can.
